What's new with Vibrolas?

February 7, 2008--No SXSW afterall...I have to work. Too bad rock won't pay the bills. The good news is we recorded a few new songs for a possible 7" and a Eugene Records comp, and we are planning a small tour for late spring/early summer.

January 12, 2008--I guess it's been awhile since I updated the news page! We're doing SXSW again this year, March 12 at Headhunters, with a few shows along the way back to KY. We're also getting new songs ready to record this spring...new album in the near future!

March 25-- SXSW was awesome! Thanks to Eugene Records, everyone that came to see us, and Chris for hitting me in the head with his guitar. Also, thanks to the Hookers fans in Little Rock, Harry and the Turn It Offs in Memphis, and all the people that bought our merchandise! I took 5 rolls of film in 5 days...I promise to put some up soon.

March 2-- The video for 350 Rocket that Demonbabies shot of us in California last May is done and now on You Tube! Thank you, Jessie!

February 5, 2007-- We're playing SXSW--Eugene Records Showcase on March 15 at Headhunters; we'll play around 7:30.

January 9, 2007-- So it looks like we'll be playing SXSW this year! More info soon...

June 4, 2006-- Oh, the stories we could tell! We're back home from tour...I took 32 rolls of film (and that's not counting the 13 rolls from the 10 day tour in April) and wrote a novel of a tour diary. Chris and I will be going back to Albuquerque, NM to fix our van and bring it home in a couple of weeks. We ended up spending most of the tour in City Mouse's van--that was 7 people, 3 dogs, 2 bands in 1 van! Thanks to everyone who helped along the way, by setting up shows, buying merch, giving us floors to crash on, etc. Hope to do it again soon (but not too soon...my bed's feelin' pretty comfy right now...)!

March 21, 2006-- We finally got our CDs back from the pressing plant! Yes! We have new CDs for sale! And coming in April, new t-shirts, stickers, buttons and other assorted merch... buy our stuff! The van is hungry!

August 29, 2005-- The trailer show/video shoot was a huge success! Many thanks to Mark and Dave at Eugene Records, everyone who drove from Lexington or Louisville to share the excitement, and The Fallen and The Loaded Nuns for rockin' out. Can't wait to see the video!

August 6, 2005-- Vibrolas wish to express our condolences to the friends and family of Hunter Whitaker, 1/2 of the raptastic Coven and Crazy D, our Eugene Records label mates. What a tragedy. Our hearts go out to you all.

August 3, 2005-- What a great summer we've had! Fantastic shows in Chicago, Madison, WI with the Dutchmen (sadly, their last shows) and Lexington. And the fun's not over yet...we'll be shooting our first video ever on August 27 in beautiful Waynesburg, KY with a couple other bands playing as well. Wanna be a part of it? E-mail for more info!

May 3, 2005-- The River City Rock N Roll Revival Fest was a blast! Gary from Lo Freq rules! Many awesome bands rocked the Gearbox--thanks to you all, plus Sherry and the cats at the club! If you weren't there, you really missed out on some of the best underground rock going!

April 14, 2005-- Vibrolas' first full-length album, "From Parts Unknown," will be released on Eugene Records, making us label mates with such rock luminaries as Nine Pound Hammer! Release date tba.

March 13, 2005-- Vibrolas will be playing this year's Rock Art show opening at the Cinderblock Gallery in Louisville, KY on Friday, May 6. Chris and Leila will both have artwork in the show, as well as many other local artists/musicians.

March 8, 2005-- Vibrolas have been invited to play the River City Rock N Roll Revival in St. Louis, MO next month!! Tons of cool bands like Broadzilla will be there--will you? Check out the shows page for more info, or e-mail the head honcho.

January 13, 2005-- A new year, a new web site, a new album-- well, really soon, at least. Chris has been busy as a beaver with his guitar repairs (write him if you need work done!). I've been playing the '78 Fender Musicmaster Chris gave me for Christmas, and Andy's been gallavanting around the country. We're hoppin' back on stage again next week--are you ready?
